The session was attended by representatives of media institutions and civil society organizations, in addition to civil society activists.
The dialogue session was moderated by the director of ASO News Network, Sardar Malla Darwish, via the "Zoom" program, together with the human development researcher, Ahlam Hassan.
The session shed light on several aspects of the concept of hate speech, violence and extremism prevailing in society, and citing illustrative models of extremism and hate speech against certain groups of society, in addition to studying and discussing the effects of these practices.

The moderator of the session, Sardar Malla Darwish, said in a special statement to the ASO News Network, that there is a need to focus on the concept of extremism and hate speech due to their prevalence in society and the negative impact they leave on it.
Malla Darwish pointed to the importance of the role of media and civil society activists, stressing the need for the participation of clerics and politicians to reduce hate speech, given that religious and political conflict has a major role in promoting a culture of hatred and incitement to violence.
The moderator also praised the attendees contributions and discussions, describing them as "effective", pointing out to the participants' awareness of seeking to fight extremism.
The dialogue session concluded with a set of recommendations and solutions to confront hate speech, including the establishment of training courses and projects that seek to combat extremism and limit hate speech through effective organizations working on the ground, in addition to the opening of special departments to combat these phenomena through the enactment of legislation by the authorities, and the holding of training workshops to inform the media about the danger of hate speech, and to monitor this speech in all fields through annual reports, with the aim of forming a kind of censorship to curb this phenomenon.
