Last Saturday, Ezidina Organization held an introductory seminar about the Yazidis under the title "I am a Yazidi, I invite you to get to know me", in the city of Raqqa, as part of a series of seminars and dialogue sessions held by the Ezdina in northeastern Syria, with the aim of increasing the community’s awareness of the Yazidi identity and strengthening rapprochement between all the components.
Mohammed demanded that such seminars should be held again in the city of Raqqa, because the people need to know more information about the Yazidis.
Ezdina Organization presented the "Fraternity Shield" to the activist and defender of women's rights, Mrs. Fayrouz Mohammed, who helped to liberate many Yazidis during the control of the terrorist organization "ISIS" on Raqqa.
Regarding her honor by Ezdina Organization, Mohammed explained that she was honored because she helped to free about 60 Yazidi women who were kidnapped by the "ISIS" organization and transported them outside the city of Raqqa through the responsible authorities to deliver them to their families.
It is worth mentioning that the seminar held by Ezdina Organization in Raqqa is the Fourth of its kind in the region, where about 80 people participated in the seminar, including representatives of organizations, initiatives, activists, media activists, members of civil society institutions, social figures and representatives of some human rights organizations in the city of Raqqa.
Ezdina Organization has held three seminars to introduce Yazidis previously under the title "I am a Yazidi, I invite you to get to know me"; two were via the "Zoom" program on the 8th and 19th of September, and the third one was in the city of Hasakah on the 30th of September.
