Last Saturday, Ezdina Organization held an introductory seminar about the Yazidis under the title "I am a Yazidi, I invite you to get to know me", in the city of Raqqa, as part of a series of seminars and dialogue sessions held by the Ezdina in northeastern Syria, with the aim of increasing the community’s awareness of the Yazidi identity and strengthening rapprochement between all the components.
Hamsurk explained that the seminar contributed to introduce the people of the city of Raqqa to the customs, rituals and worship of the Yazidis, since the Yazidi religion is considered non-missionary one.
Ezdina Organization donated the "Fraternity Shield" to the activist Abdul Salam Hamsurk in honor of his efforts in relief work since the beginning of the Syrian crisis.
Hamsurk played a prominent role in liberating many Yazidi girls from the grip of the terror organziation "ISIS".
It is worth mentioning that the seminar held by Ezdina Organization in Raqqa is the Fourth of its kind in the region, where about 80 people participated in the seminar, including representatives of organizations, initiatives, activists, media activists, members of civil society institutions, social figures and representatives of some human rights organizations in the city of Raqqa.
Ezdina Organization has held three seminars to introduce Yazidis previously under the title "I am a Yazidi, I invite you to get to know me"; two were via the "Zoom" program on the 8th and 19th of September, and the third one was in the city of Hasakah on the 30th of September.
