The booklet which includes three sections, aims to introduce the Yazidi religion, the first section contains everything related to the Yazidi religion and their religious rituals in addition to answering questions about this religion, the second section includes the definition of the customs and traditions of the Yazidis and their relations with other components and religions, in addition to correcting the wrong stereotype, while he third section includes articles written by three writers who talk about their view of the Yazidi religion.
Ezdina Organization has printed 500 copies of the booklet to be distributed to international and local organizations and media institutions which operate in northeastern Syria.
Ezdina distributed copies of the booklet over the past two days to the following organizations and institutions: Save the Children, Relief, Mercy Corps, CARE, Pel, Ashna, Basic Services Program, Civil Society Youth, Peace Association, Bukra Ahla Organization, Tigris Association, Smart Center for Mental Health and Human Development, Shawishka Association, Sarah Organization for Combating Violence against Women, Baladna Organization, Shar Organization for Development, Al Furat Center for Studies, Erido Organization, Arta Radio, Aso News Network, Rudaw Channel, Kurdistan24 Channel, Ronahi Newspaper, Euphrates News Agency, North-Press Agency, Aso Center for Consulting and Strategic Studies, Interfaith Forum, Academy of Democratic Islam, Peace Leaders Network, Demos Organization, IRC, DCA, ACTA, NRC, CHF, Solidarity, Handicap, and UPP Organization.
The organizations that received the booklet expressed their admiration for the project, especially the introductory seminar it held in the city of Raqqa, as it is considered a great challenge for everyone who wants to fight hatred and create bridges between religions and people of the region.
Some of the personalities who received the booklet stressed the importance of the existence of such booklets that contain correct information about the Yazidi religion that remained for a long time unknown or misunderstood.
Many international and local organizations have indicated that they are looking forward to establishing relations with the Ezdina Organization to implement joint projects and works in the near future.
It is worth noting that the Ezdina Organization opened an office on the first of last August in the city of Qamishlo/Qamishli, and launched the "Hope" project in the region as part of an academic and professional work program aimed at increasing the community’s awareness of the Yazidi identity and promoting rapprochement between the religious components in northeastern Syria by respecting pluralism, accepting the other, and rejecting hate speech and violence.
