
On the third of October, Ezdina Organization held an introductory seminar for the Yazidis under the title "I am a Yazidi, I invite you to get to know me", in the city of Raqqa, as part of a series of seminars and dialogue sessions held by the Ezdina in northeastern Syria, with the aim of increasing the awareness of the local community with the Yazidi identity and the strengthening of rapprochement between the religious and national components.
Ezzo emphasized that the seminar contributed to clarifying many things about the Yazidi religion, pointing out that the Yazidi religion carries common philosophical thoughts with other religions, including the Islamic religion.
Ezzo pointed out the necessity of repeating such seminars to strengthen the bonds of love and affection between all the Syrian components.
Ezdina Organization dedicated the "Fraternity Shield" to Mr. Mohammed Ezzo, for his interest in religions, including the Yazidi religion. However, Mr. Ezzo participated in archaeological excavations with foreign missions and a former lecturer at King Saud University in Riyadh the capital of Saudi Arabia. When the terror organization "ISIS" controlled Raqqa, they burned six thousands books from Mr. Ezzo's library.
It is noteworthy that the seminar held by Ezdina in Raqqa is the fourth of its kind in the region. About 80 representatives of organizations, initiatives, activists, media figures, members of civil society centers and institutions, social figures and representatives of some human rights organizations in the city of Raqqa participated in the seminar.
Ezdina Organization had held three seminars to introduce the Yazidis previously under the title "I am a Yazidi, I invite you to get to know me"; Two of them were via the "Zoom" program, on the eighth and nineteenth of September, and the third in the city of Hasaka on the thirtieth of September.
