
The lecturer of the dialogue session organized by Ezdina Organization, Ahlam Hassan, said that the session discussed several important points and topics, including the reasons for the spread of hate speech, which are "religious and ethnic extremism, and the role of social media and online platforms".
Hassan's speech came as a comment on the dialogue session held by Ezdina Organization entitled "Discussing hate speech and combating extremism", last Monday, at Ezdina's headquarters in the city of Qamishlo/Qamishli, in the presence of a group of representatives of media institutions and civil society organizations in addition to social activists.

Hassan explained that a set of solutions to counter hate speech, extremism and violence were presented at the end of the dialogue session, by publishing a positive speech on social media and establishing institutes to work on reducing this phenomenon.
It is worth noting that Ezdina Organization opened an office on the first of last August in the city of Qamishlo/Qamishli, and launched the "Hope" project in the region as part of an academic and professional work program aims to increase community’s awareness of the Yazidi identity and strengthening rapprochement between the religious components in northeastern Syria by respecting pluralism, and rejecting hate speech and violence.
