Last Saturday, Ezdina Organization held an introductory seminar about the Yazidis under the title "I am a Yazidi, I invite you to get to know me", in the city of Raqqa, as part of a series of seminars and dialogue sessions held by the Organization in northeastern Syria with the aim of increasing the community’s awareness of the Yazidi identity and strengthening rapprochement between the components.
Al-Darwish added that the accusations were attached to the Yazidi religion and their customs and traditions were distorted, because it is a non-missionary religion and closed, and therefore it was very important to hold such a seminar in the city of Raqqa.
Ezdina gifted the "Fraternity Shield" to the Adrenaline Initiative, represented by Mr. Saleh Al-Darwish, who is a competent activist known for his volunteer initiatives concerned with helping people with special needs and other sick and displaced people.
Regarding that, Darwish explained that the honor was for the initiative that works on the ground on a voluntary basis in the service of the people of the city of Raqqa.
It is noteworthy that the seminar held by Ezdina in Raqqa is the fourth of its kind in the region, where about 80 representatives of organizations, initiatives, activists, journalists, members of civil society centers and institutions, social figures and representatives of some human rights organizations in the city of Raqqa participated in the seminar.
Ezdina Organization had held three seminars to introduce the Yazidis previously under the title "I am a Yazidi, I invite you to get to know me"; Two of them were via the "Zoom" program, on the eighth and nineteenth of September, and the third in the city of Hasaka on the thirtieth of September.
